5 Bucket List Session Locations

As a professional photographer, exploring new locations is a constant source of unnamable excitement and inspiration. As you might guess, that means I have a bucket list of session locations. While I have already had the privilege of photographing couples at some pretty fantastic locations, there are still many captivating places on my photography bucket list. Carmel by the Sea, California

Nestled along the Californian coastline, Carmel by the Sea is often hailed as a little slice of Europe in America. Its charm lies in its hidden passageways, charming shops, breathtaking beaches, and delightful restaurants. The town’s old-world aesthetic provides a perfect backdrop for capturing modern fairytales. From its picturesque streets to the stunning coastal views, Carmel by the Sea promises to offer an enchanting experience for both you and your photographer!

Sedona, Arizona

Renowned for its majestic red rocks, Sedona, Arizona, is a photographer’s paradise. While I have explored some of the smaller areas nearby, I am eager to embark on a full session with a couple amidst the awe-inspiring natural beauty of this region. The off-season presents an ideal time to visit, with fewer crowds and more affordable rates. Depending on the time of year, you might even get a chance to witness the rare sight of snow in this desert oasis. How cool would that be?!

San Francisco, California

San Francisco is a gorgeous city that continuously offers new and exciting photographic opportunities. Its unique blend of urban and natural landscapes provides an incredible canvas for creating stunning images. While I have had the pleasure of capturing couples in this iconic city, photographing against the backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge and the nearby beaches is still at the top of my bucket list.

Savannah, Georgia

With its colorful houses and magnificent oak trees, Savannah boasts a distinct ambiance that sets it apart from all other destinations. With a romantic atmosphere, this location is reminiscent of scenes from a movie. Savannah’s local restaurants also offer a taste of Southern hospitality. There are plenty of places that provide additional opportunities to create intimate and heartfelt couple sessions. The city’s charm is truly irresistible and begs to be captured through my lens.

Pink Lake in Utah

Tucked away like a hidden gem, the Pink Lake in Utah is a well-kept secret just waiting to be discovered. Divided by a railroad, this isolated area is one-of-a-kind. Is the lake really pink, you might ask? Yes it is! The lake’s unique pink hue is caused by halophilic bacteria and microorganisms that thrive in highly concentrated salt levels, which also makes for romantic photos. As a photographer with a penchant for dusty pinks, this location is definitely a dream come true for me.
