Couple Session at White Sands National Park | Rachael & Dennis

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a couple’s session with Rachael and Dennis at the breathtaking White Sands National Park. This gorgeous location is in southern New Mexico, and it’s known for its stunning white gypsum sand dunes that stretch for miles. 

It’s a popular destination for travel enthusiasts, photographers, and nature lovers alike. I knew that we would be in for a real treat! What I love about White Sands National Park is that there’s so much scope for the imagination. 

The sand dunes, the blue sky, and the sunset all make for eye-catching details. As a photographer, it’s a dream location to shoot at. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to capture Rachael and Dennis’s love at White Sands National Park.

As soon as I arrived at White Sands National Park, I was struck by its beauty. The endless white sand dunes stretched out before me, and the blue sky stroked with clouds was the perfect backdrop for our photo shoot.

However, the shoot wasn’t without its challenges. Rachael and Dennis were two hours late, which left us with only a little time before the sun went down. We had to work fast, but thankfully we still managed to get some amazing shots. The session ended up being one of my favorites, despite the time constraints.

Once they arrived, Rachael changed into a gorgeous pink satin dress that we had rented from Raw Golden Rentals. The dress was so flattering, and it added an elegant touch to the shoot. It’s always a great idea to consider renting a dress for your session to take it to the next level. I’m so glad that Rachel went for it!

Let me tell you—Rachael was a star! She moved so naturally through all my prompts, which made it so easy for me to capture a wide variety of shots. You would’ve never been able to tell that our session was rushed.

It was the little things, such as closing their eyes, going in for a kiss, looking at each other, and looking away bashfully that made the shots come alive. One of my favorites was when Dennis scooped Rachael up into the air, and her skirt flew with the breeze.

While I mostly serve the Tucson area, I’m available to travel (with a fee that varies by location). I love traveling and exploring new places, and I’m always up for a new adventure.
