Ashley’s Maternity Session in Tucson at Honey Bee Canyon

I recently had the opportunity to photograph a maternity session in Tucson with Ashley at Honey Bee Canyon. This is one of my favorite photo session locations, so I’m thrilled that Ashley chose it! Here are some photos from our gorgeous maternity session:

It’s not every day that I get to work with a fellow photographer. Ashley’s experience as a photographer definitely helped in every way imaginable. She was so involved in every part of the process, from prompts and poses to the location and styling!

Let me tell you, it was a huge honor to photograph this session for her. I loved every second of it! Ashley was so much fun to work with. Since this will probably be her last baby, it was amazing to get her in front of the lens.

This little one is an unexpected 5th, and Ashley and her partner Charlie are over the moon! They are expecting a baby boy and can’t wait to welcome him into the world.

The location, Honey Bee Canyon, was a stunning backdrop for our maternity shoot. While the area is known for its steep hills and challenging terrains, it provided an adventurous element to our session. Although these spots can be a bit tricky to navigate, it was totally worth it.

Ashley simply glowed in front of the natural beauty of the canyon. There’s nothing like that mama-to-be radiance!

One thing I really like about Honey Bee Canyon is that it’s never too crowded for amazing photos. Throughout my session with Ashley, we encountered a few other people at the location, but everyone was incredibly respectful, allowing us to capture moments without interruption.

One of the things that Ashley did to elevate her session was to hire a few local businesses to help make everything perfect. As a photographer, she automatically understands the value of a good makeup artist like Stormi Makeup and Beauty, who did an exceptional job with Ashley’s makeup.

We also rented a dress by Raw Golden Rentals, which was nothing short of spectacular. The fabric flowed in the wind, and it was just perfect for Ashley’s vision. To top it all off, she accessorized with this super cute hat from She’s Pretty Crafty.
