Sierra and Josh’s Magical Couple Session at Life Under the Oaks Lavender Farm

My magical Couple Session with Sierra and Josh was absolutely unreal! I hosted a styled event for photographers at Life Under the Oaks Lavender Farm, and these two were so happy to step in and model for us when my original couple had to back out last minute. Sierra and Josh really saved the day, and they made this couple session a dream come true!

It definitely helped that Sierra happened to be perfect for the butterfly dress I had already picked out. She looked so gorgeous in it! I bought it from Ava Gowns with full intention of it being used during a Lavender session, so this was huge. 

Personally, I love styled sessions because it gives me the opportunity to include so many amazing artists and vendors. In addition to the stunning dress from Ava Gowns, I also invited Wicked Picnic to help us out with a gorgeous Lavender-themed picnic spread, and She’s Pretty Crafty for some gorgeous wooden blossoms. This session was also made possible by Stormi Beauty, who went above and beyond to make sure that Sierra and Josh looked perfect. When the time came to start snapping photos, I knew that we were in for a real treat. 

Sierra and Josh were an absolute dream to work with. Their genuine affection for each other made every photo a magical moment. Their warmth, love, and laughter created the perfect atmosphere for photos, and their commitment to our vision was extraordinary. 

Seriously, these two are so cute! As we got to know each other, I learned Sierra and Josh first met a year and a half ago on a dating app called Hinge. Since then, they’ve been inseparable! The thing that pulled them together is a mutual sense of complete authenticity. 

They both feel 100% safe to be themselves with the other person, and that’s such a valuable trait to have in a relationship. When they are in each other’s arms, they feel free to laugh and dance. I felt so honored to document such a deep relationship!

Sometimes unforeseen circumstances can lead to unexpected opportunities, and this session was definitely one of those. I can’t imagine this magical couple session without the tangible love of Sierra and Josh. Their genuine connection in the Lavender fields resulted in a magical couple shoot that exceeded all expectations.
