Ashley & Connor’s Maternity Photos at Catalina State Park

Guess who is expecting another little bundle of joy? Ashley and Connor are two amazing parents, and I’m so thrilled to be snapping maternity photos at Catalina State Park!

Ashley works in clinical research, and Connor is a pastor. Their little one is due in October, and I’m so excited for them! They are expecting a little boy. So far, the only huge craving that Ashley has is guacamole, and she’s taking her health very seriously.

Ashley, Connor, and I have so many mutual friends. A few of my photographer friends attend the same church they go to, so it was an instant connection between us. It was so much fun to discover how many mutual connections we had, some we didn’t even realize until now!

Ashley and Connor are two very cool people. During our time together, I learned that Ashley has even been on the gameshow Wipeout. How neat is that?

This really helped us bond right away, so Ashley and Connor were soon very comfortable. We went to Catalina State Park for this maternity session, and I absolutely love how everything turned out.

These two were naturals, and they went above and beyond to make every shot a winner. Getting to the area with amazing mountain views takes a little bit of a trek. It’s very sandy and the walk is no joke.

In hindsight, I should have warned Ashley to bring some flats because her heels kept sinking into the soft sand. Fortunately, she was so easygoing and simply slipped them off until we made it to our photo spot!

In the end, I have to say that it was all worth it. I mean, just look at these stunning mountain views! You can’t get anything like it anywhere else, which is why Catalina State Park is one of my absolute favorite photo spots of all time.

The cherry on top was Ashley’s dress from the Lael Collection, which she chose from my client closet. This gorgeous gown is the perfect shade against the gorgeous saguaro cacti, and it really added that extra “x” factor to the shots.
