Dean & Mariela’s Maternity Session at Catalina State Park Part 1

I’m so thrilled to share Dean and Mariela’s maternity session at Catalina State Park! As their trusted photographer and longtime friend, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing their journey from young love to this incredible moment of expecting their little bundle of joy. 

Dean and I go way back because he used to babysit my son, Sebastian. It’s amazing how time flies! I captured his senior photos, and now, he’s all grown up and married to Mariela, the love of his life. It’s crazy to think that they are expecting, but I couldn’t be more thrilled for them. 

They picked out two incredible outfits for their Maternity Session, which gave them plenty of variety to show off Mariela’s baby bump. I’m splitting this session into two blog posts based on outfits, so stay tuned for part 2!

This blog post features the couple in pure white. I love how innocent and perfect these two look together! Dean was so handsome, and Mariela was radiant from head to toe. These photos are the perfect way to document this time in their lives.

I loved learning about how they met. These lovebirds met in middle school through a mutual friend, and one thing led to another. Two years ago, they actually started dating, and now they’re eagerly awaiting their baby girl. 

Dean’s going to be such a great dad, and while I haven’t had the chance to get to know Mariela deeply, it’s clear that she’s such a kind and lovely person, perfect for Dean. These two are going to rock parenthood!

This amazing couple trusted me to guide them well through their maternity shoot, and I couldn’t be more grateful for their faith in my photography skills. Some poses might feel silly in the moment, but they actually create amazing photographs. Dean and Mariela totally understood the process and followed along perfectly. Their photos turned out so swoon-worthy!
