Family Session at Maeveen Behan Desert Sanctuary Trailhead

My session with the Prettyman Family was truly something special. We captured this stunning family against the backdrop of Maeveen Behan Desert Sanctuary. Here are some of the amazing photographs from our session!

One reason why this photo session was so special was because it was a gift! Morgan thought photos of the entire family together would be the perfect birthday gift for her mom, Gina. And boy, was she right!

This was such a thoughtful and sweet gesture! As a mom myself, it fills me with so much joy. I know that Gina (and also everyone else, too) is going to treasure these memories for years to come, and it was an honor to be a part of it.

Gina, her husband CJ, Morgan, and her brother Nick were picture perfect when they arrived at the trailhead. Morgan and Nick are both proud graduates of the University of Arizona (Go Wildcats!), and they shared a deep connection as siblings.

CJ and Nick also work for the Borderlands Construction Company. It’s clear that this family is very close-knit, and I pulled out all of my favorite prompts and poses to showcase their genuine connection.

Amidst the cacti-studded landscape of the sanctuary, the family’s vibrant energy shone through. Laughter echoed as they hyped each other up, so much so that they effortlessly turned moments into cherished memories.

As a photographer, working with them was an absolute delight! They embraced every idea, posed with genuine smiles, and radiated an undeniable sense of togetherness.

There were no challenges throughout the session—only moments of pure happiness. It was a seamless, picture-perfect experience.

As I reflect on this session, I’m reminded once again of the profound joy that comes with preserving such precious moments of love, laughter, and warmth.
