Taytum’s Senior Session at Catalina State Park Part 2

Photographing Taytum for her senior session at Catalina State Park was a highlight of this month! Taytum is such a smart and vibrant young woman. She’s so excited to be graduating and moving onto the next phase of her life, and I was more than happy to document her at this transition.

Despite some challenges during the session, we were able to capture some truly amazing photos, so keep reading!

This is part two of Taytum’s senior session, and I highly recommend checking out part one as well. We went out on two separate occasions to help her capture the senior photos of her dreams.

Taytum loves to read, so we made sure to incorporate a book into some of the shots. It added a personal touch to the session, and Taytum’s love for reading really shone through in the photos. 

The session was not without its challenges, though. The day started off with some unexpected rain, which could have derailed the shoot entirely. But we had a backup plan in place and were able to wait it out until the clouds cleared. 

Then, while we were shooting in one area, we encountered a stubborn bee that just wouldn’t leave us alone. Taytum came to the rescue, though, and nudged the bee with a stick onto some grass nearby. Needless to say, we got out of there pretty fast. 

Despite these challenges, Taytum was a joy to work with. She listened well to directions and was always ready with a smile. We were able to capture some truly beautiful shots of her, including some with her cap and gown, which really showcased her excitement for graduation and the next chapter of her life.

Overall, it was an incredible session, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Taytum. As a Tucson photographer, I am always looking for exciting locations to shoot in, and Catalina State Park did not disappoint. But don’t think this is the end! Taytum and I had one more theme to this senior session, one that you won’t want to miss. Stay tuned next week!
