Savannah’s Wicked Maternity Session at Life Under the Oaks Lavender Farm

This wicked awesome maternity session was particularly special. There’s nothing more empowering than photographing one of my favorite girlbosses in the world. Savannah is a total role model to me, so it was a real pleasure to take her maternity photos!

Savannah is the owner of Wicked Picnics, an amazing small business right here in Tucson! She designs AMAZING picnics for couples, and I’ve had the pleasure of working with her for several of my photoshoots!

Savannah goes above and beyond with every picnic she creates. With a little bit of Savannah Sparkle, she creates such whimsical designs. I’m always amazed at the magic she’s able to do! If you’re planning an event, you HAVE to check her out. You won’t be disappointed!

I always love supporting my #girlboss sisters, and Savannah is seriously the QUEEN of them all! It was so much fun documenting her as she steps into motherhood.

Through and through, this session with Savannah was amazing. We squeezed it in between a styled shoot with multiple couples, so while the models were taking a breather, we took center stage! I’m so glad that she was up for it.

We only had a few minutes in some pretty harsh sun, so we had to be fast. That said, we weren’t rushed at all. We tried to find as much shade as we could. As relaxed as she was, Savannah moved and smiled freely. With just a few simple adjustments, we created a stunning gallery.

I pulled out all of my favorite maternity session prompts, like looking down at her belly, brushing hair out of her face, and looking over her shoulder. Savannah worked it with ease!

It was extra special to have this session at Life Under the Oaks Lavender Farm, one of my favorite photo locations ever. I know this place like the back of my hand after all of my mini-sessions, so it was easy to help Savannah find her groove.

This maternity session was a huge success! Thank you so much, Savannah, for squeezing it in. I can’t imagine that day without thinking of you and your little one!
